As a Trainee Engineering Intern at Beehouse Dijiwa Ubud, you will embark on a foundational journey into the heart of what keeps our sanctuary running flawlessly. This role is designed for passionate individuals eager to learn the practical and preventative maintenance that preserves the magic of our guest experience, ensuring every mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system contributes to an environment of undisturbed serenity. You will work alongside our experienced Engineering team, gaining hands-on exposure to the unique challenges and solutions of maintaining a luxury boutique property nestled in Bali's cultural landscape. Success in this role means developing a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and understanding how technical excellence directly supports our 'Sanctuary for the Soul' ethos. This role matters because you become a guardian of our guest's comfort and the physical integrity of our beautiful property, ensuring that the enchanting atmosphere of Ubud is matched by impeccable, behind-the-scenes functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior engineers with daily preventative maintenance checks and routine servicing of hotel equipment, including HVAC systems, lighting, and water features.
• Learn to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting for guest room amenities, such as air conditioners, televisions, and plumbing fixtures, always prioritizing minimal guest disruption.
• Support the team in maintaining the property's lush gardens and pools, including pump systems and filtration, to uphold our serene natural environment.
• Help monitor and record utility consumption (water, electricity) to support our sustainability initiatives.
• Participate in scheduled safety inspections and learn to uphold all hotel safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Develop skills in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance software under supervision.
• Provide courteous and efficient service when responding to guest requests or minor engineering issues, demonstrating our core value of warm hospitality.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of engineering workshops and storage areas.
