As an Accounting Trainee at our Mathis Retreat Ubud, you will embark on a foundational journey into the financial heart of our sanctuary. This internship is designed for aspiring professionals who are eager to learn the art of hospitality finance within a luxury boutique environment. You will be guided by our experienced accounting team, gaining hands-on exposure to the processes that ensure our retreat operates with both fiscal integrity and the soulful warmth that defines Dijiwa.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day financial operations that enable us to create unforgettable guest experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Supporting the month-end closing process by helping with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Learning to maintain organized and compliant financial records and documentation.
• Aiding in the preparation of daily revenue reports and supporting departmental cost tracking.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as Front Office and F&B, to verify and resolve basic financial queries.
• Participating in inventory counts and supporting basic audit preparation tasks.
• Developing an understanding of Indonesian tax regulations as they apply to the hospitality sector.
• Embracing our culture of continuous improvement by suggesting small enhancements to financial workflows.
